Mailing lists or Listservs are discussion groups or sometimes simply daily
or weekly newsletters. Unlike newsgroups or chat groups, you have to subscribe
to these mailing lists -- they're free -- and you get the messages in
your e-mail. This generally makes the discussions on these lists more
professional and serious than Newsgroups. They are great places to find
the facts or the people you need for your story
