Two Ways to read RSS:
There are two ways to read RSS newsfeeds. Most are free, some are not.

a: through software that you install and run as a newsreader. The advantage is that you have the feeds permanently on your computer
b: or there are web pages that allow you to read RSS feeds. The advantage is that there is no software to download and install

A: Newsreader software to install:

  • Feedreader One of the simplest of the new breed of news readers to use. It's free
  • NewzCrawler One of the biggest, a free and a pay-for version
  • AmphetaDesk Free, with lots of bells and whistles
  • NetNewsWire Free only for 30 days but a robust product
  • Userland Radio Not free.
  • Aggie News Open source and free
  • Headlineviewer Uses Moreover's vast world newsfeeds. Simple to use but you can't add your own newsfeeds.

Special sotfware that includes RSS but does more:

  • Pluck More than a newsfeed reader but a nifty tool. Attaches to your web browser
  • ToolButton adds a toolbar to your browser, with all the headlines for a site under a button

B: Web pages to read RSS:
